About the event

A new event we are doing is our Free Play Table. This is where we sit out a game on a table and that game is always free to come to learn and play at no cost just show up and be taught a new fun game every week. This week the free table will host from Feb 21st to 24th Amigo Games Saboteur & Escape from the Hidden Castle.

Saboteur: Players take on the role of dwarves. As miners, they are in a mine, hunting for gold. Suddenly, a pickax swings down and shatters the mine lamp. The saboteur has struck. But which of the players are saboteurs? Will you find the gold, or will the fiendish actions of the saboteurs lead them to it first? After three rounds, the player with the most gold is the winner.

Escape from the Hidden Castle: Although billed as a children's game, Escape from the Hidden Castle, a.k.a. Midnight Party or Hugo, is actually quite enjoyable by adults as a light, fun game. Each player controls a number of guests at a party, with the number of guests dependent on the number of players. These guests start the round in the spaces of the gallery on the game board, one guest per space; this initial placement is a large part of a player's strategy.

The Phantom (or "Hugo the ghost" in earlier versions) starts in the cellar, then climbs the stairs towards the gallery where the guest's circle. The mechanism for the Phantom's movement is simple: On a player's turn, he rolls a special die. If he gets a number, he moves his pieces; if he gets a Phantom, the Phantom moves. This means that with more players in the game, the Phantom moves a lot more frequently, so you must adjust your strategy accordingly.

We are hosting this game all set up and ready to learn. Stop in and find your new favorite game. See ya soon!
