About the event

By popular demand, we host another Magic The Gathering Draft Tournament with Wilds of Eldraine.

Entry Fee: $20.00

Each player will have 20 minutes to construct their draft decks. Lands can be loaned to those who require them.

A three-round, best of 3, Swiss-style pairing competition will be held. Each round will be no more than 1 hour in length with a 10-minute break in between rounds for pairing calculations.

A TO will be on-site acting as a judge for this event.

*Prizes for 1st-3rd as well as a participation prize will be presented after round 2.*

Drafting Rules:

1) Remove tokens and non-playable cards (e.g. advertisement cards and tokens). 2)Pick one card from the pack you opened and then pass it to the player on your left. 3)Receive the pack from the player on your right. 4)Repeat pick, pass, and receive until there are no more cards. 5)Each player opens one new booster pack. 6)Remove tokens and non-playable cards like before. 7)Pick a card and then pass the pack this time to the player on your right. 8)Receive the pack from the player on your left. 9)Repeat pick, pass, and receive until there are no more cards. 10)Each player opens one-third and final booster pack, repeating the same process passing to the left and receiving from the right. 11)Once the third pack is finished, everyone will have enough cards to construct a 40-card minimum deck. The number of cards you have will vary based on how many cards were in the packs for the sets you used, but this number is most frequently either 42 or 45.

You also get to keep the cards you drafted!

We will be enforcing this event at MTG Standards “REL-axed”. These will be new cards from sets that people have not seen or played with before. Accidents happen and judge rulings will be tailored to keep the experience fair but friendly.

We have a couple of helpers who will be here to answer any questions that you have and help you build if needed for new players. We hope to have you join us for this event at our store. Please RSVP so we can prepare.
