About the event

Due to popular demand, we will now be teaching three games on Wednesdays.

This Wednesday we will be playing Talisman Batman, Endless Winter, & Trekking Through History.

Talisman Batman: 6.6

Talisman: Batman – Super-Villains Edition allows players to take on the role of Gotham City's notorious evil-doers, sneaking and fighting their way through Arkham Asylum's two floors and central tower to be the first to subdue Batman and successfully release its dangerous inmates.

The anti-heroic objective in this take on the classic Talisman fantasy tabletop game focuses on building the health, strength, and cunning of the Caped Crusader's enemies. Players must compete with one another, while fending off heroes, including Batman himself who moves around the board as an NPC. The player who can overcome these challenges and shut down the Arkham Asylum security system will free all of the inmates earning the reputation needed to be King or Queen of the criminal underworld of Gotham City. The game features artwork from DC's "New 52" era, custom board art and includes thirteen plastic character figures, more than one hundred encounter cards, six-sided dice, and stat boards to monitor each character.

Endless Winter: 7.8

Endless Winter is a euro-style game that combines worker placement and deck building in an innovative way. Each round, players send their tribe members to various action spaces, and pay for the actions by playing cards and spending resources. Tribe cards grant additional labor, while Culture cards provide a variety of unique effects. As an alternative, cards can be saved for an end-of-round Eclipse phase, where they are simultaneously revealed to determine the new player order, and trigger various bonus actions.

The game features a novel blend of interwoven systems and mechanisms, such as multi-use cards, area influence, tile placement, and set collection. Plus, there are many viable paths to victory. After four brisk rounds, scores are tallied, and the tribe with the most points wins!

Trekking Through History: 7.7

In the game, you go on a three-day tour of human history, traveling thousands of years in a time machine to experience great moments from our past.

The game takes place over three rounds, each representing one day of your trip. Each day, you visit a series of historical events, spending a different number of hours at each.

On each turn, you choose to visit one historical event, and spend a certain number of hours doing it. Doing so will yield benefits, like checking off items on your itinerary for points, and earning Time Crystals so you can bend the space-time continuum on future turns.

Along the way, you’ll also score points for visiting historical events in chronological order.

The player with the most points after three rounds wins.

Come join us on Wednesday, January 3rd @ 6:00 p.m. to learn any of these games for Workshop Wednesday. See you soon!
